What is a cat grass teething stick?

It is a firm, fibrous stick made mostly of barley cat grass, pressed together with freeze-dried meat so that cats are interested in it. The cat gnaws it the way it would gnaw a stem of grass.

It replaces nothing in the cat's diet. It is something to chew.

Why grass?

Cats with outdoor access are commonly observed grazing on grass and chewing on stems. Indoor cats have the same habit and fewer things to direct it at, which is why houseplants and cables often take the hit.

This product gives that habit something intended for it. Whether an individual cat takes to it varies — some do straight away, some ignore it. That is what the refund window is for.

What does it not do?

We would rather be explicit about this than let a headline imply it:

  • It is not a substitute for veterinary dental care or a professional cleaning.
  • It does not treat, prevent or cure hairballs, dental disease or digestive conditions.
  • It is not a diagnosis. A cat showing symptoms needs a vet, not a treat.

If your cat has a health concern, speak to your veterinarian before adding anything new.

How do you give it?

Hand the cat one stick and let it chew. Most owners settle on one a day, at a fixed time, because cats respond to routine. Some cats prefer it broken in half or held while they gnaw.

Fresh water should always be available. Supervise the first few sessions so you can see how your cat handles the texture.

What does it cost, and what exactly am I signing up for?

The first pack is $0 and you pay shipping. Placing that order starts a monthly subscription. This is the part most offers bury, so here it is in full:

  • Today: $0 for the pack, plus the shipping cost shown at checkout.
  • One month later, and every month after: $19.99 plus shipping, for one pack.
  • The subscription continues until you cancel it.

How do I cancel?

In your account portal, or by emailing support@maostix.com. Cancel any time before the next renewal date and you are not charged again.

There is no minimum term, no cancellation fee and no phone call required.

What if my cat will not touch it?

Email support within 90 days of the order and you get a refund of the amount you paid. The full terms are in the refund policy.
